Did you know -
There is no ONE course that makes you a complete WEBMASTER?
And you thought it was all so easy (... so did I!!).
Well, now is the time for enlightenment!!
First things first
- Who or What is a Webmaster?

says a man accomplished in this profession. (and
he is absolutely right!) |

| What
you’ll need is a whole lot of practical knowledge,
lots of hands-on experience, a thorough knowledge
of NT, Unix, Web servers, Windows and basically
everything in IT!! (sounds vague??) |
Lets proceed systematically...
.
Proficiency in
Unix, Linux, Win NT, and servers such as SQL server
is a must.
An engineering degree isn’t an absolute must but a graduate
degree is.
A 6-month work ex as a system administrator is essential
so that you can do more than just differentiate between
a server and a keyboard!!

Besides
this, installing and configuring a server should
be at your fingertips. Responsibilities such as
patching up security loopholes come with being a
Webmaster. Of course it will be beneficial if you
subscribe to security mailing lists that will keep
you updated. |
Last
but not the least - let’s talk MONEY! You will be
entitled to anything between 15-20 grand. Don’t
fall off your chair now - wait till you hear this...
. your pay could go upto a lakh in the Indian scenario !! Pots
of money await you - but remember this - if you
are not enthusiastic and are not hungry (to learn,
of course!) - you will stand nowhere at the end
of the day!!
