Delhi College of
Engineering, DCE offers courses in all fields of Engineering.
However, the field of Mechanical Engineering is what the college
is most renowned for. Once the engineering is completed, those
looking for a job have an easy time, with the placement scene,
being quite rosy.
Assembly
line jobs, maintenance jobs are easy to come by. However, if you
are looking to go into R&D, an MS from some good university
abroad is the best step for you.
The other
option is a software job, which too is easily available to
Mechanical Engineers. Fusing the stream of Mechanical Engineers
can come up with software related to their fields of
specialization. Mechanical consultancies too are an option.
Production Engineering is a close cousin of ME and is specially
recommended if you are following your engineering with an MBA.
With a lot of course from Mechanical and some about Production
Management, its ideal for managers looking to work in technical
firms.
Over
the years, various engineering streams has been given varied
preferences; yesteryears saw civil as hot and now Compute
Engineering rules the roost. On the other hand Mechanical has
remained a steady evergreen field through out this period. So,
no matter what, Mechanical Engg. will never be obsolete.
