The dream symbolism corresponds to the real-life experience that it is often necessary for unfulfillable wishes or matters of conflict to be 'buried' once and for all. Of course, the image of a burial can also indicate painful experiences. The decisive factor is the further development in the dream. For the psyche, death represents a process of change. Frequently something new replaces that which has been symbolically buried.
