| Well, well, I guess
I had no such problems to deal with when I started off... but then very rarely do others
have the great motivational factor of ones neighbours beautiful daughter
coming to the same centre! But coming back to the point folks, it really did not work
out... the daughter business I mean but it sure helped me gain a lot of confidence and
energy, so much so that, believe it or not --I am still going to the same centre for the
past 6 years... . in the faint hope that she shall turn up again one of these days...
sigh!! Oh! How
I tend to forget things now, I almost forgot to mention the innumerous compliments that I
have gained for the sudden change in the colour of my cheeks whenever the subject of the
gym came up. Or the spring in my feet just before I had to leave for the
centre! Now I
know, love is supposed to do such things to people but I (and somewhere deep within, my
friends...) would surely agree that the exercise too had a lot to do with it. |

So folks go for it. Half an hour's
progressive exercise twice a week will pay enormous dividends. Three times a week is
better still, but lets see you match 7 days a week, twice daily that I used to go!
So stop justifying to yourself that you do not have time, for trust me THAT is the
farthest thing from the truth.
Results you may expect
How much? How long? I really
cant say much on this subject for coming to think of it, she hardly used to talk and
the times that we did, were unfortunately not too long. But I guess your potential, apart
from other factors, depends on your physical type --- to use a layman's terms: small,
medium or large boned (for the uninitiated I am talking about your muscle building prowess
and not about my lost friend!). When assessing your weight, for instance, you may have a
large or small head. This could make a difference in your body-weight of three or four
pounds (1.3-1.8 kilos). It is how you look that matters, rather than what the tape measure
tells you, so use a tape only to generalise on your progress. All one can really promise
is that by progressive exercises and one's own initiative and re-solve one can transform
oneself beyond any predictions.
